Thank you for taking a step to learn a life-saving skill for yourself and your loved ones. The SwemLyfe team specializes in addressing generational and cultural events related to the fear of swimming for black families. Swimming is fun and there is freedom in learning. The best way to overcome the fear is to face it; and our experienced trainers know just the techniques to help you #get in!
Trish P. Miller
Trish is a public health professional who is passionate about the health and well-being of children. Her own near drowning experience as an adult fueled her passion to overcome cultural social norms and ensure that she and other members of her community knew how to swim. In addition to SwemLyfe, this led to the creation of SwemKids, an in- school culturally relevant swim and water safety program focused on equipping black children with the skills to have a healthy and safe relationship in and around water.
